Yes. Support & Growth accepts most Canadian extended health and insurance plans for online therapy. If your plan covers services from registered mental health providers, you can use it with our licensed therapists. After your session, you’ll receive a receipt to submit to your provider for reimbursement — or we’ll bill directly if your plan allows.
We work with many major Canadian insurance providers, including Manulife, Sun Life, GreenShield, Great-West Life, ClaimSecure, and Desjardins. Even if your provider isn’t listed, most extended health plans that cover therapy with a registered professional can be used at Support & Growth.
The exact amount depends on your coverage. With insurance, most clients only pay their co-pay or deductible, which is a fraction of the session fee. For example, if your plan covers 80% of therapy costs, you’ll only pay the remaining 20% out of pocket.
Yes, we do offer direct billing — but only with providers that support it. We currently provide direct billing for therapy sessions through Manulife, Sun Life, GreenShield, Great-West Life, ClaimSecure, and Desjardins, among others. If your plan allows direct billing, we’ll submit the claim for you so you only pay your portion. If not, you’ll pay upfront and submit the receipt for quick reimbursement.
Yes, as long as your plan covers counselling or psychotherapy services. Some plans only cover individual therapy, while others extend coverage to family or couples sessions. We recommend checking your benefits package to confirm.

Yes. If your insurance only covers part of the fee, you can pay the remaining balance out of pocket. For example, if your plan covers $100 per session and your therapist’s fee is $150, you would pay the remaining $50 yoursel
To use your insurance, you’ll need your policy number, plan member ID, and the name of your provider. During intake, we’ll ask for these details so we can prepare receipts or process direct billing if your plan allows.
